Nokia has been adamant that all of its released devices will get the update to Oreo but there's been no concrete information on when that would happen exactly. Speculation of dates should be on the decrease now, though, as the OEM has established a time range for the update, with Q4 being touted.
The source of the information, HMD Global's General Manager for Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia, Mark Trundle, confirmed that the Nokia 3, 5, 6, and 8 will all get the update before the end of the year. Nokia executive Juho Sarvikas teased Android Oreo on the Nokia 8 a few weeks ago, and that's all that's needed to ascertain how close the company is to sending out the promised update.
While all released devices are to get Oreo, it's still unknown if the upcoming budget Nokia 2 will. It's to be launched on Android 7.1 Nougat, and the age-old Snapdragon 212 it runs on may make matters complicated.
