HMD may be set to snub the US but India will be receiving all of the Nokia 8 love, with the device going on sale on Amazon India over the weekend.
The Nokia 8 was released a few months ago to a mostly positive reception, as it marked the return of Nokia—or something in that vein, anyway—to the true flagship scene. The Nokia 8 sports a 5.3-inch QHD display, with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. It's powered by the Snapdragon 835 and features 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64 GB of UFS 2.1 storage, dual rear cameras (13 MP + 13 MP) with OIS, 13 MP selfie shooter, IP54 certification, and a 3090 mAh battery. It was launched on Android 7.1.1 Nougat but is set to receive Oreo before the end of the year, with the update already being tested on the device.
The Amazon listing offers the 4 GB version of the Nokia 8 for INR 36,999, which is about US$570. This would be a better deal than what was offered on the device's launch in other markets.
