Our in-depth review of the Alienware x17 R2 with Intel Core i9-12900HK and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti revealed a machine that's heavier and larger than its ultrathin competitors, with a disappointing battery life even when using the low-performance/power saving settings, as well as awkwardly positioned ports. However, avid gamers will enjoy the level of performance provided, the screen size, and the excellent mechanical keyboard of the Alienware x17 R2. Obviously, most of these findings also apply to the discounted hardware setup mentioned earlier.
