The Alcatel V3 Ultra is a new 5G smartphone equipped with a special display and can also be operated with a stylus. Various display modes are advertised, including a mode designed for the easy reading of e-books.

The Alcatel V3 Ultra is a recently launched smartphone that aims to stand out with several features, such as allowing for the eye-friendly reading of e-books. Specifically, a 6.8-inch display with a resolution of 2,460 x 1,080 is installed, which is advertised as an NxtPaper display. While the high peak brightness is not particularly high at 650 cd/m², a special mode is said to make e-books easy on the eyes, which is advantageous for long reading sessions. This reading mode is also said to provide very long battery life. A stylus pen is available, allowing users to take notes.

A MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC is on board, which is definitely not a flagship SoC, but it does support 5G across two mobile networks or two phone numbers. Both an eSIM and a nano SIM are supported, and the internal storage can be expanded via a memory card. Since the internal storage is quite limited at 128 GB, this may be necessary. The LPDDR4x RAM is 6 or 8 GB, depending on the model chosen.

The smartphone features a 108-MP main camera, a 32-MP front camera and an 8-MP ultra-wide-angle camera. It measures 167.6 x 75.5 x 7.99 millimeters and weighs 196 grams, and comes with a fingerprint sensor on the side and a standard headphone jack. The 5,010 mAh battery can be charged with up to 33 watts. The device runs on Android 14 out of the box; a total of three OS updates and four years of security patches are promised.

The Alcatel V3 Ultra 5G has already been released in India at prices of ₹19,999 ($234) for 6GB RAM/128GB and ₹21,999 ($257) for 8GB RAM/128GB. Information on a global release is still pending.
