Tolino Shine 5, Shine Color and Vision Color: Three new e-book readers presented, two with color displays
Tolino recently presented three new e-book readers. In addition to the new edition of the Shine, now in its fifth generation, the alliance of leading booksellers is also launching two models with a color display for the first time.
Tolino Shine and Shine Color
But let's start with the Tolino Shine 5, which now comes with Bluetooth support for audio book playback via headphones, a fixed layout format and various other improvements such as a faster processor. However, the device still uses a high-resolution black and white touchscreen in the form of a 6-inch E Ink Carta screen.
Even more exciting are the two Shine Color and Vision Color models. They are the first e-readers from Tolino to come with a color display. The Tolino Shine Color is also equipped with a 6-inch E Ink Kaleido 3 color display and can thus display not only black and white, but also bundled content such as e-books in fixed-layout format. The device with 16 GB of storage and weeks of battery life is particularly light at 173 g and also offers many other functions such as audio book playback via Bluetooth using headphones or speakers.
Tolino Vision Color and Stylus
With a 7-inch screen diagonal, the Tolino Vision Color, which is also new, is slightly larger. It also has an E Ink Kaleido 3 display with 4096 colors. Moreover, the e-reader offers audio book playback via Bluetooth, a fixed layout display, a powerful processor, 32 GB of storage and a long-lasting battery packed into a 200 g device.
The Tolino Stylus is also new and is intended to accompany the Vision Color and is used to mark text passages or write handwritten notes, among other things. The stylus attaches magnetically to the e-book reader to prevent it from getting lost.
Prices and availability
The Tolino Shine and Shine Color models will be available in stores from May 7, but can already be pre-ordered now. The Tolino Vision Color and the Toling Stylus stylus will follow in June 2024.
