Acer Nitro XV282K V3 debuts as new 4K gaming monitor with 150 Hz refresh rate
Acer is on a run of late, having recently introduced the Nitro XZ320QK P3. Additionally, the company has released the Nitro XV282K V3, a smaller alternative to the Nitro XZ320QK P3. As its name implies, the Nitro XV282K V3 spans 28-inches.
Moreover, the monitor has a 10-bit colour panel, which Acer specifies is actually 8-bits and Frame Rate Control (FRC). Also, the Nitro XV282K V3 boasts a 4K native resolution (3,840 x 2,160), a 157 PPI pixel density, a 1,500:1 contrast ratio and a 150 Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, Acer combines these features with 1 ms GtG response times, common for an IPS panel, AMD FreeSync Premium compatibility and 400 nits peak brightness. Accordingly, the Nitro XV282K V3 is DisplayHDR 400 certified.
Elsewhere, Acer has integrated one DisplayPort 1.4 connection, a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports and a 3.5 mm jack. Predictably, Acer rounds off the equipment with a 100 x 100 mm VESA mount, should you wish to not use the bundled stand. Currently, Acer charges US$429.99 for the Nitro XV282K V3 in the US, undercutting the Nitro XZ320QK P3 by less than US$100. Please see Acer's website for more details. Alternatively, the gaming monitor can also be found on Micro Center.
