Ayaneo’s Pocket Vert retro handheld arrives with early-backer pricing that starts at $269 and climbs to $369, before rising by $100 at retail for a $339 base model and a $439 top-tier Lava Red edition. Combining a high‑PPI 3.5‑inch display, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, invisible touchpad, and a robust feature set in a premium metal build, the device targets enthusiasts seeking powerful retro emulation in a Game Boy-style form factor.

Ayaneo has finally shared new details about its upcoming Pocket Vert retro handheld. Ayaneo is preparing to launch the Pocket Vert pretty soon. The company recently announced that early backers will receive the Pocket Vert for $269 for the 8GB + 12GB base model, up to $369 for the 12GB + 256GB Lava Red edition.

However, this pricing applies only to recent backers, as the Ayaneo Pocket Vert will see a $100 retail price bump, placing the base model at $339, and the top-of-the-line model at $439.

The Ayaneo Pocket Vert comes in a Game Boy form factor, with a 3.5-inch IPS LCD at 1600 x 1440 and a whopping 615 pixels per inch. It peaks at 450 nits of brightness with a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz.

As detailed previously, the Ayaneo Pocket Vert packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor supplemented by an Adreno 730 GPU. This combination can easily handle the most demanding retro emulation.

Three different configurations for the Pocket Vert have been revealed, with users able to choose between 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM variants, and storage sizes ranging from 128GB to 256GB, with UFS 3.1 support. Users can also expand storage using an external microSD card should they need to in the future.

Adding to the list of features is a respectable 6,000 mAh battery for longer gaming sessions, active cooling, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 support, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.

The Ayaneo feature list continues to grow, including a 9-axis gyroscope, haptic feedback, a MagicSwitch for quick access to settings, and a fingerprint sensor. All of these premium features are housed in a premium metal body with a glass front, measuring 86.4mm x 143mm x 20.5mm and weighing a sturdy 318 grams.

The Ayaneo Pocket Vert will come in three colorways: Black, White, and an exclusive Lava Red for the top-of-the-line 12GB DDR5 256GB storage variant. Furthermore, the company also addressed a lineup of accessories for the Pocket Vert, including a leather and TPU case, a prop-up stand, and screen protectors.
