The Poco F8 series consists of two different models that differ in design, features and, of course, price. We will show you all the differences to help you make your decision.

The Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra are both high-end smartphones from Poco with Snapdragon 8 Elite processors, which differ mainly in terms of display size, camera features and battery capacity. The F8 Pro comes with a compact 6.59-inch AMOLED display (1156 x 2510 pixels, 120 Hz), weighs only 199 grams and measures 157.5 x 75.3 x 8 mm, making it ideal for one-handed operation. In comparison, the F8 Ultra offers a larger 6.9-inch AMOLED panel (1200 x 2608 pixels, also 120 Hz) with Poco glass, but is heavier (218-220 g) and larger (163.3 x 77.8 x 7.9-8.3 mm).

Both share 12-16 GB of RAM, UFS 4.1 storage (up to 512 GB), IP68 protection, Android 16 with HyperOS 3.0 and Bose stereo speakers, but the F8 Ultra has the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which offers higher performance. The displays offer identical brightness and are similarly accurate.

The rear cameras differ greatly: the Pro model has a 50+50+8 MPix triple setup with 2.5x telephoto zoom, while the Ultra scores with a 50+50+50 MPix system with 5x periscope telephoto zoom and OIS; the front camera on the Ultra is nominally superior with 32 MPix and 4K video (vs. 20 MPix). The batteries also differ: 6,210 mAh with 100W charging for the Pro, 6,500 mAh with 100W wired plus 50W wireless for the Ultra, which should enable longer runtimes, but in our review, the Pro lasts longer.

We have summarised all the differences clearly in a table:

Both the Poco F8 Pro and the Poco F8 Ultra performed well in our reviews and offer strong overall packages within their price ranges. Ultimately, choosing the right smartphone is not just a question of price; the size of the device can also play a role, which is just as much a matter of taste as the design itself. However, those who consume a lot of media via the speakers will definitely enjoy the F8 Ultra more, as the Bose 2.1 sound system is unrivalled in the smartphone world.

The F8 Pro starts at just under $529, while the Ultra starts at $729 (both with 256 GB).
