AYA NEO AIR series debuts on Indiegogo from US$499 with AMD Barcelo APUs and OLED displays ↺

AYA NEO has brought the AIR series to the crowdfunding website Indiegogo. Available in multiple configurations, the AYA NEO AIR series starts at US$499 and rises to US$1,255 for the flagship Pro model. Shipment of AYA NEO AIR series orders should start in Q3 2022.

AYA NEO has started offering the AIR series on Indiegogo, two months after the company's CEO started teasing the device. While AYA NEO has already revealed full specifications for the entire AIR series, it has added a third model into its product stack. Until now, the company has suggested that there would be two regular AYA NEO AIR configurations, plus a further three AIR Pro versions.

Instead, the AYA NEO AIR series starts with the AIR Lite, which takes the place of the original entry-level AIR model. Hence, the AYA NEO AIR series starts at Indiegogo for US$499 with an AMD Ryzen 5 5560U APU, plus 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of replaceable storage. Supposedly, the AYA NEO AIR Lite will eventually retail for US$549, although the company has not confirmed when that will be the case.

Regardless, current Indiegogo early bird, retail and post-Indiegogo prices are as follows:

Strangely, AYA NEO does not state in its Indiegogo listing when it hopes to begin shipping the AIR series. However, the company has previously estimated that units will begin shipping sometime in Q3 2022. Conversely, the AIR Plus and Ryzen 7 6800U-backed units will not leave warehouses before Q4 2022.
