CES 2024 | ASUS introduces NUC 14 Pro and NUC 14 Pro Plus mini-PCs with Intel Meteor Lake processors and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity
ASUS has unveiled the NUC 14 Pro series, a productivity-focused alternative to the ROG NUC that it presented earlier today at CES 2024. While the latter will be available with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, ASUS has built the NUC 14 Pro without dedicated GPU solutions in mind. Still, the presence of Intel Arc iGPUs through Meteor Lake processors should ensure decent graphics performance in most cases.
According to ASUS' product pages, only the NUC 14 Pro Plus will be configurable with a Core Ultra 9 185H, the flagship member of Intel's Meteor Lake-H series. By contrast, the NUC 14 Pro will be available up to the Core Ultra 7 165H, as well as less powerful Core Ultra 5 and Core 3 processors. Still, all NUC 14 Pro machines are compatible with up to 96 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and PCIe Gen 4 storage via their M.2 2242 and M.2 2280 slots.
Also, just the NUC 14 Pro Mini PC features a 2.5-inch slot. At the same time, the entire series has two Thunderbolt 4 ports for various expansion options. As the images below show, ASUS has packed plenty of other ports into both variants, including several front-mounted USB ports designed to simplify peripherals and removable storage. Unfortunately, ASUS has not revealed pricing or availability for any NUC 14 Pro models yet. However, full hardware details for the NUC 14 Pro and NUC 14 Pro Plus can be found via their appropriate hyperlinks.
