The ThinkCentre neo Ultra is the most expensive model in Lenovo's new ThinkCentre trio. Available later this year for a $1,499 starting price, the ThinkCentre neo Ultra will combine a high-end processor with an NVIDIA RTX 40 series GPU and a dedicated NPU within a 3.6-litre case.

Lenovo has unveiled the ThinkCentre neo Ultra, a mini-PC that it describes as its first with 'powerful AI capabilities'. Additionally, the company's press release claims that the mini-PC 'welcomes a new era in computing performance' thanks to an independent CPU, GPU and NPU. For reference, all ThinkCentre neo Ultra SKUs will weigh 3.25 kg and measure 195 x 195 x 107 mm, which equates to a 3.6-litre case size.

For now, Lenovo is remaining quiet on a few specifics, such as the mini-PC's exact processor options. Specifically, the company describes the ThinkCentre neo Ultra as being configurable with up to an Intel Core i9 vPro processor, albeit without confirming the underlying architecture. Likewise, its press release refers to a dedicated and 'easy-to-upgrade independent NPU card' but without offering any specifics in this regard.

Conversely, Lenovo has confirmed the presence of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, as well as options for configuring up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and 4 TB of PCIe storage split across a pair of M.2 slots. Moreover, the ThinkCentre neo Ultra supports Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, although it appears that this is a configurable option too. Regardless, all SKUs feature the following ports:

Front:

  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type A
  • 1x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C

Rear:

  • 1x DisplayPort 1.4
  • 3x DisplayPort 1.4 (discrete GPU ports)
  • 1x Flex IO port (VGA/DP/HDMI/USB Type-C/Serial)
  • 1x Flex IO port (VGA/DP/HDMI/Serial/LAN)
  • 1x HDMI 2.1 (TMDS)
  • 1x HDMI 2.1 (discrete GPU port)
  • 1x RJ45
  • 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A
  • 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A

The ThinkCentre neo Ultra should be available starting Q2 2024, one quarter later than the two ThinkCentre Neo 50a machines that Lenovo has also brought to CES 2024. Currently, Lenovo states that the ThinkCentre neo Ultra will cost at least $1,499 in the US. However, the company has only outlined that European pricing and availability will be announced 'at a later date'.
