Deal | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D drops to all-time low on Amazon
Back in mid-July, our in-depth review of the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D has shown that this 8-core, 16-thread processor is faster in multiple gaming scenarios than the Intel Core i9-13900K, a chip that features 8 P-cores, 16 E-cores, and no less than 32 threads. However, things get even more interesting when pricing is added to the equation, since Intel's chip launched for US$599 and is now listed on Amazon for US$629.99 (but discounted to US$551.99). Those looking for a good deal can't go wrong with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which is now down to US$381.93 thanks to a 15% discount.
According to the popular Amazon price tracker Camelcamelcamel, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D topped at US$460.92 on April 30, 2023, and the current price is the lowest recorded so far. The average price, based on the last 50 price changes, is US$422.59.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the Intel Core i9-13900K have the same 4.7/5 Amazon general rating. However, this score is the result of 1,021 user reviews for the Intel and just 544 for its direct competitor.
Since our thorough analysis mentioned in the first paragraph concluded that the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is a great desktop processor for the demanding gamer and also revealed Intel's superiority in certain productivity tasks and synthetic benchmarks, the i9-13900K also remains a good choice for some consumers. However, AMD's offering is the one currently providing the best value overall.
