AMD Strix Halo has already made its way to multiple mini PCs from Framework, Minisforum, GMKTec and Sixunited. There's one from HP, too, but it has not been listed anywhere so far. The General Manager of Asus China managed to interview AMD CEO Dr Lisa Su and talked briefly about Strix Halo.
At around the 5:40 mark, when asked if AMD plans to bring AMD Strix Halo to desktops, Dr Su said "Yes". This suggests AMD has a broader plan for Strix Halo that involves selling it across different form factors. Its primary use case will likely be mini PCs because its motherboard is relatively small, allowing it to fit in a wide range of cases.
The prospect of Strix Halo arriving on more desktops is an attractive one, but it has been notably absent in laptops. For now, only the Asus ROG Flow Z13 and HP ZBook Ultra 14 G1a are the only two devices that use Strix Halo parts. It is still a laptop-grade part that can easily trounce anything offered by Intel, and even take the fight to Apple Silicon in some workloads.
