Hardware manufacturer 8bitdo will release two new Fightingdeck arcade controllers on 15 July, 2025: The first variant for $89.99 is intended for Windows 10 (1903) or higher and Nintendo Switch 3.0.0 or higher. The second, slightly better equipped variant for $99.99 comes with Xbox branding and an Xbox button for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Windows 10/11 in a green and black look. Both controllers are specially designed for e-sports players and pro gamers of arcade games such as fighting games, brawlers and shoot-em-ups.
What the 8bitdo Arcade Controller offers:
The controller for Windows and Nintendo Switch has a 1,000 mAh battery, 2.4G WLAN for Windows, Bluetooth for connecting to the Nintendo Switch, and a cable that allows the controller to be used on both devices. The design comes in the typical arcade controller look and offers four freely programmable buttons (P1-P4). The controller is leverless and has the option of using other switches thanks to 16 Kailh Wizard low-profile switches. It is also equipped with SOCD cleaning, a dynamic keypad and tournament lock. 8bitdo Ultimate Software V2 is supported. The controller can be pre-ordered for $89.99 via 8bitdo's online store and via Amazon US.
What else does the 8bitdo Arcade Controller for Xbox offer?
In addition to a different look in the style of the Xbox Series X, buttons with Xbox-typical labels on a black background and an integrated Xbox button, it houses a significantly more powerful 3,000 mAh battery. However, the controller lacks Bluetooth, offering only 2.4G Wi-Fi connectivity and a wired connection. Instead of four, only two buttons are freely programmable (LSB and RSB), but it does have RGB button lighting, which creates the typical Xbox green look. Also included are a 3.5 mm audio jack and volume switch. The 8bitdo Xbox Arcade Controller is available for pre-order directly via 8bitdo's online store and via Amazon US for $99.99.
