The Retroid Pocket 4 Pro is more than a year old and even already has a successor in the form of the Retroid Pocket 5 (curr. available on Amazon for $259). Nevertheless, it is still available for purchase, and thanks to an on-going promotion, it can be gotten for significantly less.
For a limited time, the Retroid Pocket 4 will be available to buy for $149, $50 off its launch price. Retroid says the discount is to celebrate the 618 Shopping Festival and that the Android-powered gaming handheld will be available at this price from now until the 22nd of June, 2025.
As at the time of writing, the discounted price applies to all six colors of the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. However, the Icy Blue colorway is currently sold out.
The Retroid Pocket 4 Pro has a 4.7-inch 1334 x 750 touch display and is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 1100 processor. There's 8GB of LPDRR4x RAM and 128GB of storage that can be expanded via a TF Card slot. The handheld has 3D Hall Effect joysticks, analogue L2 and R2 buttons, and swappable ABXY buttons.
It also has a cooling fan for active cooling, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, a 5,000mAh battery capacity, a USB-C port. There's a micro HDMI port for connecting it to an external display but it only supports 720p output. However, the USB-C port also supports video output at 1080p. Retroid ships it with Android 13.
