8 free Capcom games are now available for everyone to play

Capcom has revealed the March game lineup for Capcom Town. The lineup consists of eight Capcom games that anyone can play free of charge on their smartphones and PCs. All you have to do is head over to the official Capcom Town website. The newly inducted games will only be available in March and will likely be replaced with other titles on April 1st, 2026.
The eight free-to-play Capcom Town games for March include:
- Mega Man (1987)
- Mega Man 2 (1988)
- Mega Man 3 (1990)
- Mega Man X (1993)
- Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (1991)
- Street Fighter Alpha 2 (1996)
- Final Fight (1989)
- Demon's Crest (1994)
As you can tell, all of these are retro titles that were either launched as arcade games or for consoles like the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), and more. For instance, Mega Man, Mega Man 2, and Mega Man 3 debuted on the NES while Mega Man X launched on the SNES.
Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, on the other hand, first debuted as an arcade game before being ported to the SNES.
Finally, for folks who don’t know, Capcom Town is a “digital theme park” which went online in June 2023 to celebrate Capcom’s 40th anniversary. Capcom Town is purely browser-based and can be used from any smartphone or PC. In addition to free-to-play retro games, the website features game artwork, retro game videos, and other community-focused activities. There is also a store where you can buy Capcom titles.
Sadly, Capcom Town is currently only available in the US, Brazil, and Japan.
All in all, whether you are a retro fan, someone who wants to relive their childhood, or a gamer looking to get into retro gaming, Capcom Town is a pretty good place to start.
