Digiphile is giving away Planet Coaster, an acclaimed park-building sim that retails for $44.99 when it's not being discounted. This free game giveaway is being paired with an aggressive discount on the Premium Edition upgrade, which has seven DLCs.

Planet Coaster is now being given away as a free game on Digiphile. The platform is best known for its bundles, with the recent games collection being Boomer Shooter Blueprint. With this giveaway bundle, however, it's taking a different approach.

Alongside giving away Planet Coaster as a free game, Digiphile is offering an aggressive discount on the Premium Edition upgrade. It's an optional purchase, and it brings a total of seven DLCs. This upgrade will cost $10 extra, but without any discounts in place, it's valued at $76.93.

Getting back to the free game, while Planet Coaster is a relatively old title now, it's still one of the more popular park-building sims on Steam, where it has over 30 thousand player reviews with 90% of them being positive. Players get to build and run their own theme parks, and to do so, they get access to rather deep customization tools.

The landscapes, for example, can be placed piece-by-piece with intuitive tools, while there are options to include terrains like caverns, mountains, and lakes. Players' choice of the design and how the rides are affect the reaction of the guests. More attractions and a better overall roller coaster riding experience lead to higher park ratings.

While the title excels in creative park-building, it's not a fully refined park management simulator. The terrain tools, for example, can be frustrating for quick edits, and the clunky camera controls take some time to get used to. New players can also find the mechanics a bit confusing, as there are no proper tutorials. It's worth noting that Planet Coaster 2, which was released in 2024, improves on these aspects.

When not on sale, Planet Coaster goes for $44.99, but it's currently available as a free game on Digiphile. The platform is giving away Steam keys, and this giveaway will expire on March 5 2026. Check out the review video below to learn more about the title.
