Mewgenics was Steam Deck’s most played game for February 2026

After being announced more than a decade ago, Mewgenics finally launched on PC last month. Within just one week of release, the game crossed one million copies sold and generated over $23 million in revenue. And it seems like Steam Deck players are enjoying it more than anyone else. 

If you check the official Steam Deck Top Played charts, which show what handheld users are spending the most time on, Mewgenics was the most played game of February 2026. That is not a small achievement. It has managed to climb above popular and long-standing favorites like Stardew Valley, Fallout 4, and even Baldur's Gate 3.

If you haven’t tried it yet, Mewgenics is Verified on the Steam Deck, and it runs smoothly right out of the box. You don’t have to worry about tweaking any settings or making adjustments to optimize performance. 

The game also currently holds a Very Positive rating on Steam. It has over 19,000 reviews, and 91% of them are marked as positive. The game was also briefly available at a discount a while ago, which dropped its price from $29.99 to $26.99. However, the promotion has ended, and it’s now back at its standard price.
