2024 iPad Pro and iPad Air size leaks with thinner builds for Pros and familiar dimensions for new Air
Rumors regarding the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models have been swirling around for a while now. The new iPad Pro models are reported to get OLED displays, Apple M3, and MagSafe while the iPad Air is expected to get a second variant with a larger panel. 9to5Mac has now revealed the dimensions of the upcoming Apple tablets.
For the iPad Pro, 9to5Mac alleges that the new 12.9-inch model will measure 281.5 mm x 215.5 mm x 5.0 mm with a larger panel than the current model. The smaller 11-inch iPad Pro will reportedly come in at 249.7 mm x 177.5 mm x 5.1 mm. Thanks to the use of OLED displays, both 2024 iPad Pro devices are expected to be thinner than their predecessors.
Moving on to the iPad Air, the 2024 iPad Air will also come in two variants with a new bigger 12.9-inch version measuring 280.6 mm x 214.9 mm x 6.0 mm. Interestingly, the larger iPad Air model is rumored to be the same size as the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro except for the height.
The second iPad Air SKU for 2024 is purported to retain the dimensions of the 5th-gen iPad Air (Available on Amazon). Both iPad Air models could also get new SoCs.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long to get official confirmation regarding the new iPad Pro and Air SKUs as leaks point to a late March launch.
