$200K crowdfunded Hyper trackpad now stuck in limbo, forcing the company to offer refunds and bonuses

It appears that a recent crowdfunding campaign with over $200,000 raised has gone off track, with the company behind the campaign, Hyper, urging customers to either accept a refund, or wait "indefinitely" before being able to get their hands on the product.
The product happens to be the HyperSpace TrackPad Pro, which entered the funding stage about half a year ago. A single glance at the product makes its intentions clear - to become the Apple Magic Trackpad (currently $120 on Amazon) of the Windows world.
According to a recent update posted by Hyper, the production of the TrackPad Pro has allegedly run into supply chain issues, which has left the company with no option except delaying its promised launch timeline indefinitely.
Sleek design with attractive features
With a minimal design and an aluminum enclosure, the large 6.5 x 4 x 0.5 inch trackpad packs a ton of useful features, such as a 250 Hz response rate, 30-day battery life courtesy of a 1,000-mAh battery, piezo electric actuators for haptic feedback, Microsoft Precision Touchpad support, and more. Clearly, the product seems quite enticing for Windows users on the lookout for a well-equipped touchpad, which explains the disappointment of its backers.
As of right now, folks who have backed the project have three options, as stated by Hyper. They can cancel their slot and receive a full refund, wait indefinitely while Hyper attempts to sort things out, or accept a refund in the form of Hyper store credit along with a $50 bonus.
For super-early and early backers, the HyperSpace TrackPad Pro was priced at $109 and $120 respectively. The final product is likely to cost a lot more, especially if the supply chain issues linger for longer than expected.
