Lumstrik EDC flashlight with 5,000 lumens, 669 yards of range and modular design now crowdfunding

At first glance, Lumstrik looks like a regular flashlight, but the aluminum body is made up of two parts. The handle can be unscrewed and replaced with a much smaller grip, which is intended to turn it into a smaller EDC flashlight. The catch is that with the short grip, the body holds only one 21700 cell instead of two (from $17 on Amazon).
That cuts runtime in the 100-lumen low mode from 30 hours to 15 hours, and in the 2,000-lumen high mode from 3 hours to 1.5 hours. In turbo mode, which is supposed to hit the advertised 5,000 lumens, even the dual-battery setup only lasts three minutes. Meanwhile, the reflector covers a 90-degree area, but the central 20 degrees are supposed to be the brightest.
An optional amber filter is intended to improve visibility in fog and snow and cause less glare at night. Moreover, the flashlight is IP68-certified and therefore waterproof, and it is supposed to survive drops from heights of up to about 6.6 ft without damage. With the longer handle, the flashlight measures 9.45 x 2.36 x 1.1 inches and weighs 18.1 oz including the battery.

Price and availability
The Lumstrik flashlight is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The flashlight costs $129 in the early bird offer, shipping and potential import fees are extra depending on the buyer’s location. The flashlight ships with the long grip and two 21700 batteries. The short grip, amber filter and an additional rechargeable 21700 battery each cost an extra $15.
Delivery is expected to start in May 2026. This is Lumstrik’s first Kickstarter project. As usual, caution is advised when backing crowdfunding campaigns, since products may ship later than announced or could have quality issues.
