IWA | Acebeam K1: New EDC flashlight sports red instead of UV light

Acebeam plans to release a third variant of its compact K1 EDC flashlight. The company told us at IWA that customers have apparently been asking for a red LED instead of the UV light.
The form factor and design will not change. The Acebeam flashlight will still be equipped with three light sources, namely a green laser, white main light and the new red LED. The other model variants will stay on the market, including the UV light model and the Special Edition, the latter of which offers a cyan laser and is significantly more expensive than the green laser version. That being said, Acebeam announced that the new variant will carry the same official price tag as the base model. Therefore, the new K1 flashlight should cost $55 in the US, although discounts on Amazon currently result in a sale price of $34 for the regular models.
The power setup will also remain unchanged, so the K1 runs on a replaceable 14500 battery and is also compatible with AA cells. The battery has to be removed in order to be charged, since the USB-C port is integrated into the battery and not the flashlight itself. The main light delivers up to 1,000 lumens at 6,500K, which can be sustained for one minute before throttling to 650 and later 110 lumens. The remaining runtimes are 30 plus 4.5 hours. The 9-lumen mode can last for up to 60 hours on a full charge, and the new Acebeam flashlight weighs around 2.8 oz.
Acebeam plans to launch the new K1 with red light, green laser and white main light in March 2026.
