Xiaomi Redmi Watch 3 Lite leaks as new upcoming smartwatch
Xiaomi is preparing to release the Redmi Watch 3 Lite, over two years since the company introduced the Redmi Watch 2 Lite. For reference, Xiaomi already offers the Redmi Watch 3, which launched in December alongside the Redmi Band 2. While Xiaomi has not acknowledged the existence of the Redmi Watch 3 Lite yet, regulatory bodies have revealed the device's marketing name, model number and various hands-on images.
Initially, TheGoAndroid noticed the Redmi M2247W1 on the National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) Korea's database. The NRRA Korea did not provide any details about the device's marketing name. However, it has listed hands-on pictures with the smartwatch, which looks like a cross between the Redmi Watch 2 Lite and the Redmi Watch 3. As such, it has a single physical button and an oblong display but one that is more squared off than the Redmi Watch 3.
Additionally, the NRRA Korea reveals that the Redmi M2247W1 has a 2.87 V polymer Li-Ion battery and supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, with the latter matching the Redmi Watch 2 Lite rather than the newer Redmi Watch 3, which has Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. Meanwhile, the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) has also listed the Redmi M2247W1, revealing its marketing name as the Redmi Watch 3 Lite in the process. Hence, it seems that Xiaomi will offer the Redmi Watch 3 Lite in multiple markets and not just in China or India. A release date and pricing has not emerged yet.
