The Huawei Watch Buds have officially gone on sale, following a short pre-order period. Incidentally, the switch from pre-orders to general availability coincides with Huawei confirming that the Watch GT Cyber will not be coming to Europe. Instead, the innovative smartwatch will be headed to more Latin American and South East Asian countries, as well as the Middle East.
Initially, Huawei sold the Watch Buds for £389.99 in the UK and €439 in the Eurozone. However, the smartwatch and earbuds combo has now risen to £449.99 in the former and €499 in the latter. Huawei is still offering some order bonuses though, such as a Huawei Smart Scale and discounts on other wearables. Additionally, the company has provided a €30 coupon code for the Eurozone, which can be applied at checkout as 'ANBCHECK2in1'.
As we have discussed previously, the Watch Buds have a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, beneath which Huawei hides a pair of compact earbuds. The Watch Buds support all of Huawei's typical smartwatch software features with HarmonyOS 2 pre-installed rather than the newer HarmonyOS 3. Presumably, Huawei will update the Watch Buds to the latest version of its in-house operating system, which it recently started doing for the Watch GT 3 and Watch GT 3 Pro.
