Xiaomi has released over half a dozen this week, including Watch S4 and Smart Band 9 Pro wearables. For reference, these other devices also include Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro flagship smartphones. Additionally, it is now selling the Redmi Band 3, which directly replaces the Redmi Band 2 (curr. $36.99 on Amazon) that debuted last year.
In short, the Redmi Band 3 looks an awful lot like its predecessor. As such, the new wearable features a relatively long display that spans 1.47-inches across while outputting at 320 x 172 pixels within a 45.9 x 26.9 x 9.9 mm body. Moreover, the Redmi Band 3 boasts a 300 mAh battery that Xiaomi rates for up to 18 days of battery life between charges, up from 12 days in the Redmi Band 2.
On top of that, the new Redmi Band supports Bluetooth 5.3 for improved Bluetooth stability, as well as 5 ATM water resistance and NFC for making contactless payments. However, it seems that the wearable misses out on GPS connectivity, which would have been used with some of its 50 pre-installed exercise modes.
Currently, the Redmi Band 3 retails for CNY 159 (~$22) in black and beige colour options for now. Please note that the Redmi Band 3 is exclusive to China for now, as are the rest of the devices that it presented this week, at least officially anyway. With that being said, the Redmi Band 2's global release suggests that the Redmi Band 3 will eventually be available internationally.
