Xiaomi will launch a slew of devices before the end of the month in China, with the Xiaomi 17 series set to take center stage alongside the Xiaomi Pad 8 lineup. The company recently confirmed the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Elite on the Pad 8 Pro, and new information has now surfaced on the standard Xiaomi Pad 8.
For one, the Xiaomi Pad 8 has been spotted on Geekbench ahead of its debut. The tablet, listed with the model number "25097RP43C", is equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and earns a single-core score of 1,984 and a 6,323 multi-core score. Both of those numbers are slightly worse than other Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 devices like the Poco F7 and Nothing Phone (3) managed in our reviews, but that's not out of the ordinary. The listing also confirms 12 GB of RAM onboard the tablet.
Xiaomi has also revealed several other key details of the Pad 8. The tablet will sport an 11.2-inch 3.2K 144 Hz LCD, a 9,200 mAh battery, HyperOS 3, and 45 W charging. It will also be 5.75mm thick and weigh 485g, much like the more expensive Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro. Features including a 13 MP main camera, 8 MP selfie camera, quad speakers, quad microphones, and a 3.2 Gen1 USB-C port have also been mooted for the tablet, although they remain unconfirmed.
