Xiaomi 12 Lite: Geekbench confirms Android 12 and Snapdragon 778G details as European and global MIUI 13 builds discovered

The Xiaomi 12 Lite has reared its head again, just a few days after Xiaomiui noticed it on IMEI databases. To recap, while Xiaomiui's leak did not reveal any specifications, it linked the Xiaomi 12 Lite to the model number 2203129G. Now, someone has benchmarked the 'Xiaomi 2203129G' on Geekbench, the link to which we have provided below.

Predictably, the 2203129G runs Android 12, the version of Android on which the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Pro launched globally. Additionally, Geekbench reports that the device has 8 GB of RAM; Xiaomi offers the entire 12 series with at least 8 GB of RAM, including the Xiaomi 12X. Incidentally, the Xiaomi 12X through Xiaomi 12 Pro come in 12 GB of RAM flavours as well.

However, Geekbench states that the 2203129G relies on a 'taoyao' motherboard, Qualcomm's codename for its Snapdragon 778G platform. For reference, Xiaomi already uses the Snapdragon 778G in the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, announced in September 2021. While it is unclear when Xiaomi will announce the Xiaomi 12 Lite, Xiaomiui asserts that the company has been testing V13.0.0.7.SLIMIXM and V13.0.0.24.SLIEUXM, builds intended for global and EU markets.
