Redmi Turbo 3 officially debuts as a performance-focused device with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in tow
Xiaomi has now officially debuted its latest smartphone in China, the Redmi Turbo 3. The Redmi Turbo 3 looks to be a successor of sorts to last year's Redmi Note 12 Turbo, as it delivers flagship-tier performance but at the expense of other features.
Starting with its display, the Turbo 3 sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 2400 nits. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, supported by up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Onboard is Xiaomi's Ice Cooling technology better thermals, as well as Violent Engine 3.0 for better performance across the board.
The Redmi Turbo 3 is equipped with Sony's 1/1.95-inch LYT600 sensor. Not a premium CMOS sensor by any means but competent enough. Joining the 50 MP main camera are an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 20 MP selfie shooter. Other features of the Redmi Turbo 3 include a 5000 mAh battery, 90 W charging, IP64 certification, Dolby Atmos, and Wi-Fi 6.
Pricing is as follows:
- 12/256 GB: CNY 1,999 (US$275)
- 12/512 GB: CNY 2,299 (US$320)
- 16/512 GB: CNY 2,499 (US$345)
- 16/1 TB: CNY 2,799 (US$385)
According to most reports, the Redmi Turbo 3 will arrive on foreign shores badged as the Poco F6. Even if that's true, there's always the possibility of the Poco F6 featuring slight hardware changes. We'll keep you updated.
