The OnePlus 12 will launch with the best display in the Android smartphone market on its launch - according to its maker, at least. Now, a new leak purports to confirm how big that potentially class-leading screen is going to be. The same tip may also hint at how much battery life, RAM and internal storage the smartphone can offer.

OnePlus' latest next-gen flagship smartphone preview might have inadvertently corroborated another less official leak that purports to capture one of its new finish options in the wild. It also contained a remarkably informative shot of its new and allegedly class-leading screen.

The live image purports to confirm that the panel is curved and does indeed belong to the Chinese version of the OnePlus 12 (or PJD110), particularly as it appears to run ColorOS 14. The Android 14-based ROM ostensibly has a product info page in its settings that puts all of the 12's most pertinent specs on 1 screen.

They include a description of triple rear cameras as confirmed by OnePlus earlier, which are identical to those of the OEM's new foldable smartphone. The 12 will also apparently have the Open's 32MP selfie camera, set in the well-hyped display's central punch-hole.

On that note, the new leak seems to confirm for the first time that the same screen will be 6.82 inches in diagonal length. That generational increase over the 11 is also matched by an enlarged 5,400mAh battery on the screen as pictured. Finally, this alleged unit of the 12 has no less than 24GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage: probably its top-end SKU.
