The Streak-like MID passes through FCC recently
If I’m not wrong, Dell’s latest hobby is to churn out MIDs. We have reported before of the Streak MID, and Engadget now reports of one at least one more MID along the line of the Streak passing through FCC. This 5-inch MID, called Dell Mini 5, has been filed with FCC by Qisda who was supposed to manufacture this device for Dell. At FCC this device is being called as the Qisda M01M, and should have support for WiFi plus full HSPA on WCDMA bands II and V. This is a strong indication that this tiny bar will come through At&T, Rogers, Bell or Telus as they only support this coverage.
Michael Dell was spotted flaunting an MID recently, which should be a strong indication of the American PC giant’s change of direction of product portfolio this year as more and more touchscreen devices fill the market.
