According to a recent news report posted by Netbookchoice, the Samsung N510 11.6-inch netbook will be available in UK from first week of September at a price of £449. It will be shipping with a 6-cell 5900mAh battery that should be good for 7.5 hours of use according to the company. Although the details about the pricing, availability, and battery life are credible as they come from a reliable source but, there is still confusion over the platform used. According to Netbookchoice the Samsung N510 will run on Nvidia’s ION platform that uses a DirectX10 compatible 9400M (ION) chip, whereas according to Netbooknews Italia the N510 will run on Nvidia’s latest ION LE platform that supports only DirectX9 and not DirectX10. Users will have to wait and watch till this model appears on the Samsung’s official website.

There is another rumor that Samsung is readying the N508 and N511 models as reported by Netbook Choice who uncovered a document indicating the presence of two more models alongside the N510. Netbook Choice suggests that the screen size or processor could be different in one or both of these models. If the N510 is powered by Nvidia Ion LE then there might be a netbook that uses Nvidia Ion platform. It seems as if one of the models would have a 10-inch display but, nothing can be confirmed as of now.
