Kogan to release an Android tablet for under $200

Set to beat Apple ipad at least on pricing

Kogan is the electronics company that is named after Ruslan Kogan. The Kogan Agora netbook based on community input was brought by Ruslan. He not only brought the Agora netbook but also came with the Kogan Agora cheap and unlocked Android-powered smartphones. Now the next for Kogan is a tablet running Google Android for under $200. This tablet from the Australian company can beat the Apple ipad at least on pricing if not by features. The Kogan tablet could sell for as little as $180 US, if ever comes to US. And there is no possibility of releasing it in Australia at this time.

The prototype of Kogan comes with the following features:
Display: a 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel capacitive touchscreen
CPU: 600MHz ARM-based processor
Hard Drive: 2GB of storage
RAM: 512MB

The tablet also has an HDMI output. As told by Kogan to APC Magazine, the demo unit can run Android, Ubuntu Linux, or Windows. But as we all know desktop version of Windows cannot run on an ARM-based processor, so he might have referred Windows CE.
