The Joybook continues to impress various reviewers

The new Joybook Lite U121 offers you everything a netbook can offer, and more. Folks at pcauthority.com got their hands on this sample to review, and they like it. It comes in the BenQ blue and black metal variants, with a sturdy-looking body. It will be powered by the Intel Atom Z520 or Z530, which is more powerful than the earlier with a clock speed of 1.6GHz over 1.33GHz of that of the Z520.

This 11.6” WXGA screen has a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels which is said to be a perfect fit for High Definition (HD) content in 16:9 aspect ratios. The super-smooth 8ms response time and UltraVivid technology should give in for exceptional color depth and detail definition – or so the company claims. But does it – well although the color accuracy and brightness is good, the reviewer notices grains and a narrow viewing angle. The U121 has a 96% keyboard. The trackpad features a single button and slightly roughened brushed-metal surface which is pleasingly accurate and very comfortable to use. The 32GB SDD storage with the 500GB HDD will provide ample space for those music and videos, although the HDD is optional.

This 1.4kg machine boasts of unlimited connectivity via high-speed WiFi, 802.11 b/g/n WLAN card, optional Bluetooth 2.1, and optional 3.75G HSUPA. Additional features include a 1.3MP webcam, built-in 2W speakers, VoIP, and 2-channel SRS TruSurround HD system. It supports 3G as well.

The 6-cell battery gives an impressive up to 9 hrs of battery life in the review; even with full-loaded the U121 lasted for about four and half hours.
