Supposedly, Windows 7 will work without problems on netbooks like the Asus Eee PC.
The internet news site LaptopMag got the chance to test the new operating system Windows 7 (pre-beta) on an Asus Eee PC 1000H.
The Eee PC 1000H is equipped with an Intel Atom N270 processor with 1.6 GHz and 1 GB RAM. The LaptopMag team installed the new operating system on this device and used it without problems.
Therefore, programs like Skype, GIMP, Filezilla and office tools easily could be used simultaneously. The OS "only" 485 MB of the systems RAM. It looks like Microsoft can stick to its announcement which says that Windows 7 will work on netbooks as well.
