Belkin comes up with new power bricks for netbooks

90 dollar adaptor for a possible $300 netbook?

Belkin has unveiled a couple of new power bricks for netbooks in UK. One is for travel, the other for the home.

The 40W AC/DC Travel Netbook Power Adapter comes with an option of 5 interchangeable tips which are compatible with a wide range of netbook brands like ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Samsung and Toshiba. This 210gm (without cable) adaptor has a dimension of 61.5mm x 111.5mm x 24.2mm in size. Even by the travel standards it is not that light, which is more than 20% of the whole netbook.

The home adaptor is even heavier. The 90W AC Home / Office Netbook Power Adapter comes with 8 different tips to work with different netbooks. It weighs 350gm and is 147 mm x 70 mm x 16 mm in size.

My only concern it some people might find it a little pricey compared to the netbook price ranges.
