Philips Hue could be about to launch two new all-day scenes for its smart lights. Rumors about the settings began after a supposed screenshot of a beta testing version of the Philips Hue app was shared on social media. This was reported by Hueblog.de, which does not provide further details of the source. It is believed that the feature is currently only available for a handful of users.
The image shows the existing Natural Light scene alongside new Golden hours and Nature’s colors 24-hour scenes. The Natural Light feature launched in late 2022 as a way to sync your smart lights with your circadian rhythm. There are cooler, brighter lights in the morning, automatically transitioning to warmer shades later in the day and dimming at night. According to Hueblog.de, the Golden hours mode is similar to Natural Light, but with warmer white lighting throughout the day. The tones of Nature’s colors remain unknown, with the related image showing pink, white and orange flowers.
It is unclear when the new Philips Hue all-day smart lighting scenes will roll out to all users. Presumably, this will be in an upcoming update for the brand’s smartphone app. The latest iOS update arrived at the end of October with a new widget function and features for Philips Hue security cameras, like the Secure Floodlight with Camera (curr. $279.99 at Amazon).
