Epson has announced a partnership with Bose. Through this new collaboration, the companies are working on a home theater projector which will feature Sound by Bose technology.
In a recent press release, Epson did not name its upcoming projector. However, it is described as compact and efficient. According to the company, Sound by Bose will provide users with a high-quality audio experience tailored to the content they are watching as well as their preferences. In a statement, the COO of Epson's Visual Products Operations Division said that the company was "combining our bright, vivid, and versatile projection technology with Bose's custom-designed audio systems to realize the fusion of sound and visuals, setting a new standard for entertainment."
Many of Epson's current home theater projectors do not have speakers. An exception is the EpiqVision Mini series; for example, there are 5W stereo speakers supporting Dolby Audio on the Epson EpiqVision EF-21 Mini Laser Projector (curr. $549.99 at Amazon).
The new Epson x Sound by Bose projector is expected to be released in the US and China in September 2025, though an exact launch date has not been specified. The press release also indicates that there will be other Epson projectors with Sound by Bose technology, though further details were not disclosed.
