New Anker MagGo Wireless Car Charger with built-in USB-C cable now available
The Anker MagGo Wireless Car Charger (Pad, Built-In USB-C Cable) has launched in the US and is expected to go on sale in Europe in the future. The accessory is designed to attach to horizontal or vertical air vents, using magnets to hold your iPhone in place while you are driving.
The MagGo Wireless Car Charger offers 15W wireless charging, which is said to provide a 20% charge to an iPhone 15 Pro in around 15 minutes. The magnetic base can be tilted to adjust the angle and rotated 360°, allowing you to find the perfect position. The Qi2-certified wireless charger has a cord organizer, a 25W car adapter and a 5 ft (~1.5 m) built-in USB-C cable; it does not appear that this cable is replaceable. ActiveShield 2.0 technology monitors the device's temperature 3,000,000 times daily to protect against overheating, and foreign object detection helps prevent damage.
It is worth noting that the accessory is compatible with the iPhone 12 series onwards, but Anker states it cannot be used with round air vents (illustration below). You can now buy the Anker MagGo Wireless Car Charger (Pad, Built-In USB-C Cable) in the US for $59.99. A product page on the Anker UK website suggests that the accessory will retail for £49.99 in this market, while an Amazon listing in Germany indicates that the EU price will be €59.99.
