The Mind 2s is Khadas' latest addition to the ultra-mobile mini PC lineup. Compared to the regular Mind 2, the latest model offers a noticeable performance boost thanks to the new Core Ultra 7 255H from Intel’s Arrow Lake H series. Most notably, graphics performance has noticeably improved thanks to the new integrated Intel Arc Graphics 140T. However, this iGPU does not reach the performance levels of modern dedicated graphics cards. That being said, this latest iteration of the Mind mini PC sports fast 64GB LPDDR5X RAM running at 8,400 MT/s. In terms of storage, our configuration comes with 2TB of SSD capacity.
Thanks to its high-quality chassis and clever cooling, temperatures remain reasonable even under continuous load. The 2TB SSD is consistently quick and can be upgraded with a second M.2-2230 SSD. A special feature is the eGPU support of the Mind 2s. These can be hooked up via USB4 or the proprietary Mind Graphics Dock, which comes with a dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. This allows the mini PC to become a proper desktop replacement that can even handle demanding workloads. In our in-depth review, we took a closer look at its performance in combination with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090.
To fully utilize the capabilities of the Mind mini PC, Khadas offers proprietary accessories. These include the aforementioned Mind Graphics Dock, as well as the Mind Dock. The Mind XPlay has also been announced, which basically turns the mini PC into a laptop replacement.
The Khadas Mind 2s showed no significant weaknesses in our review, even though the port selection is rather limited due to the compact design. However, modern interfaces like USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 are available and offer broad compatibility with third-party accessories.
The Khadas Mind 2s is available directly from the manufacturer. Our review configuration has an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H, 64GB RAM, a 2TB SSD and currently costs $1,399 on Amazon. Amazon is also selling the aforementioned Mind Dock and the Mind Graphics with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and either 8GB or 16GB VRAM.
