In early January, we reported that Casio was planning a major refresh for its highly popular G-Shock GM-B2100 lineup for 2025. And while we did get the G-Shock GM-B2100SD-1C earlier this month, it wasn’t exactly the groundbreaking redesign we were hoping for. That could change later this year, according to a fresh leak.
Great G-Shock World reports spotting a regulatory listing at an international certification agency in Asia that hints at new colors for the G-Shock GM-B2100 in the works. The report doesn't mention the exact colors or model numbers, but we’re told the new lineup will see an independent release, unlike the GM-B2100SD-1C, which debuted earlier this month alongside the square GMW-B5000D-1C. These new colors are expected to stand on their own and offer something meaningfully different. Great G-Shock World isn’t ruling out the possibility of a switch to a titanium build. If true, it would be a first for the GM-B2100 lineup, which has historically shipped with stainless steel cases. To be clear, this remains just a speculation at this point and should be taken with a huge pinch of salt.
Don’t hold your breath for the new GM-B2100 series to hit the market anytime soon, though. Based on the registration status of the listing, the report notes the official release could be months away, possibly at the end of this year or in early 2026. In any case, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the new development of the watch and will be sure to let you know if new info emerges.
