Kami releases its 100% wireless, weather-resistant outdoor IP security camera
Kami - YI Technology's new home-security brand - has released its new Wire-Free Outdoor Camera. As it lacks the need for connectivity hubs and has batteries that can be recharged in a USB-powered holder, it can be installed anywhere the user wants. It has a 165-degree wide-angle camera that supports FHD video at 20 frames per second (fps).
Kami is a new brand of YI Technology that has already launched some indoor and outdoor IP cameras. Now, it has added the Wire-Free Outdoor Camera, which it touts as a truly versatile security device. It has a 1/2.7" CMOS Sensor that supports up to 1920x1080 video at 20fps.
These recordings can be stored on Class10 microSD cards of 8 to 64GB in size, or be streamed to a user device using its single band, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. Its maker claims that it only needs the Kami Home app for iOS and Android in order to connect seamlessly with a residential Wi-Fi network.
The Kami Wire-Free Outdoor Camera features a base that can mount onto various outdoor surfaces. This truly stick-and-play device also has an IP65 weather-resistance rating. It is available from the YI website or from Amazon.com for a price of US$89.99.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
