The Insta360 X5 should be official in a few hours, with Insta360 having scheduled a launch event for later today. In the meantime, the new action camera has appeared online several times over the last few days courtesy of various leaks. Most recently, the Insta360 X4 successor (curr. $424.99 on Amazon) appeared on Amazon Canada before being taken down.
Now, a full unboxing video has been psoted online ahead of schedule. Embedded below, the 1:19 minute clip runs through all the accessories that Insta360 will include with its X5 Standard Bundle, including a compact carry case. By extension, the clip also confirms the design changes spotted in prior leaks.
On top of that, the video highlights that Insta360 will advertise the X5 as being an 8K/30 FPS action camera. If recent leaks are accurate, then the action camera will also be capable of shooting 5.7K videos at up 60 FPS and 4K/360-degree content at up to 120 FPS. The Insta360 X5 is expected to launch with a larger battery and an upgraded camera sensor over its predecessor too, albeit with a 10% price jump to $549.99.
????It's time to call it a day. Let's give credit to Insta360 engineers for a fresh breath of air with X5. And then there's the next thing we have to look forward to... something hardened by the cold. Something that patiently waited for its hour in the icy silence.)#insta350x5 pic.twitter.com/mT51nEzwD7
