The Insta360 X5 has already emerged a few times in the last few days. Initially, only photos of Insta360's next action camera had emerged online. Now, the action camera has popped up on Amazon Canada ahead of time.
According to the retailer, Insta360 intends to charge around CAD$844.36 for its Insta360 X4 successor. Assuming current exchange rates, this would see the Insta360 X5 launching for around $610. However, leaker Igor Bogdanov insists that Insta360 has priced its next action camera at $549.99 in a $50 uplift over its current model.
Based on the information contained above and below, it seems that Inst360 plans to install a larger 1/1.28-inch camera sensor with up to 133% better light performance than the 1/2-inch equivalent found inside the Insta360 X4 (curr. $424.99 on Amazon). Moreover, the Insta360 X5 should benefit from a 17% battery capacity improvement (2,290 vs. 2,400 mAh) and almost 50% faster charging.
The Insta360 X5 should boast other improvements over the Insta360 X4 too, a full list of which we have embedded above. For context, Insta360 is expected to release the X5 globally on April 22. In the meantime, early night comparison shots have been published online via a relatively unknown source. Please see the information below for more information.
