Huawei is thought to launch the Mate X7 as one of its 2025 foldable smartphones - although it might be the most conventional device compared to the even more cutting-edge Pura X and "Mate XT 2".
The X7 might have something to help it stand out against other devices of its class, such as the allegedly upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 - even if it only applies to the Chinese market.
Its predecessor the Mate X6 was equipped with Satellite Calling and Satellite Messaging (which were supplied by 2 different non-terrestrial (or low-orbit) networks: Tiantong and Beidou respectively) - albeit only in a Collector's Edition of the premium HarmonyOS smartphone.
The Mate X7, on the other hand, might have this 'dual satellite' connectivity in all of its variants. Accordingly, the flagship foldable handset might be able to keep its user in contact at all times, even in its Standard model.
