Google's impending series of next-gen Android smartphones will consist of the Pixel 10 (or GLBW0); the 10 Pro (or G4QUR); 10 Pro XL (GUL82); and 10 Pro Fold (GU0NP), according to Android Authority.
Now, the blog claims to have established that those devices will have a modem called the T900, supplied by MediaTek alongside the Tensor G5 silicon that is reportedly coming from TSMC rather than Samsung as in its existing Android 15 flagships.
The up-to-date T9-series modem can reportedly enact features called Adaptive Connectivity Services and Satellite Gateway, according to a new code teardown.
That suggests that the 10 series will be able to use non-terrestrial-network (NTN) satellite in the absence of 5G: a feature increasingly available in mass-market smartphones as opposed to the purpose-designed devices of the past.
Therefore, the Pixel 10 and its siblings are thought to continue to support the modern wireless connectivity features needed to compete with the iPhone 16 (or 17) series on their impending debut.
