Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 10 series on August 20 and the four phones in the lineup have seen some leaks and rumors hinting at what to expect. There are going to be some camera setup changes in the Pixel 10 series with the base Pixel 10 said to get a telephoto shooter. Now, according to a new report, the entire series will get a significant upgrade to the image stabilization.
The information comes from Android Headlines who previously shared the change in release date for the Pixel 10 series. Without citing the source, the report claims that the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will get gimbal level image stabilization, a major step up from the already decent image stabilization on the Pixel 9 (Buy on Amazon) series. The publication compares the upgrade to a DJI Osmo Mobile 6 gimbal, claiming the Pixel 10 series will be able to deliver stable performance at par with the gimbal.
It is expected that the Pixel 10 series will have an internal gimbal system, which in itself is not new as other brands have gone this route in the past. But, together with the quality of Pixel cameras, this upcoming generation of Pixel phones may deliver exceptional video recording capabilities.
Recently, images of a prototype of the Pixel 10 Pro surfaced online showing the design, as well as some of the specifications. The model was equipped with 16 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage, with the Google Tensor G5 processor powering it. As for the release, multiple leakers suggested an August 13 launch date but Android Headlines has claimed Google has postponed the date to August 20, with expectations of the on-shelf date being August 28.
