In a move that just happens to coincide with Apple's ongoing Awe Dropping event, Honor CEO Li Jian has effectively confirmed the impending launch of the Magic8 series of flagship Android smartphones, asserting that they will be the most adaptive, responsive and powerful AI-enabled devices of their class on their upcoming launch, thanks in part to their agentic MagicOS 10 software.
That performance might be activated by the smartphones' alleged latest hardware feature, depicted as being about the same size and shape as Apple's Camera Control (the latest generation of which has just been unveiled as part of the new iPhone 17 and its siblings) in a new leak.
The image purports to yield some other potential Easter eggs concerning Honor's next-gen industrial design, such as that both devices have flat displays and flat metallic edges that are more or less equal in thickness.
The design change is backed by the leaker to put Honor ahead of Apple in the mobile AI race - then again, the former has now definitely been beaten to the launch of its 2025/26 flagships.
