The Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro will be officially unveiled on Wednesday, August 20. NieuweMobiel has now published the first images of Google’s official protective cases for its next-gen smartphones. According to these images, Google has opted for a silicone case that will apparently be available in the same colors as the smartphones themselves.
Google could be fairly conservative with the case colors for the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, as these cases are shown in Moonstone (dark blue), Jade (green) and Porcelain (beige). On the other hand, the cases for the more affordable Pixel 10 are available in Obsidian (black), Lemongrass (green), Frost (light blue) and Indigo (blue). The official cases are made of silicone with a microfiber lining on the inside that should prevent scratching.
Similar to Google's official cases for the Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro (from $599 on Amazon), the Pixel 10 case also protects the cameras, while the buttons are apparently once again made of metal to provide a more premium look and feel. On the inside, there is an interesting new feature: a circle that likely indicates integrated Qi2 magnets.
The Pixel 10 series is said to support magnetic accessories and wireless magnetic chargers. According to earlier rumors, Google will even offer an entire range of magnetic accessories, which will be marketed under the new "PixelSnap" brand name. Google's protective case for the Pixel 9 series costs $34.99, but due to the aforementioned magnets, the case for the new Pixel 10 might be slightly more expensive.
