Earlier, prolific leaker Ice Universe confirmed Samsung would power its upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 series with MediaTek SoCs. This wasn't much of a surprise because the Galaxy Tab S10+ had shown up on Geekbench with a Dimensity 9300+. Now, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has also appeared on the benchmarking platform with the same silicon.
Codenamed SM-X926B, it scores 2,141 and 5,533 in Geekbench 6.3's single and multi-core tests. The latter is remarkably lower than its Plus-branded counterpart (6,952), presumably due to unoptimized firmware. This appears to be the base variant with 12 GB RAM running Android 14. Unlike Galaxy S phones, Samsung uses the same SoC in its tablets; therefore, one can safely assume the Dimensity 9300+ will power Galaxy Tab S10 Ultras worldwide. Nevertheless, we should know for sure as early as October.
Previously, it was established that the vanilla Galaxy Tab S10 got mothballed, leaving only the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Skeptics have questioned Samsung's last-minute SoC vendor swap as MediaTek doesn't have the same brand recognition as Qualcomm. However, the Dimensity 9300+ is measurably faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and also a tad cheaper. This should potentially result in the Galaxy Tab S10 duo not receiving a $100 price increase like the Galaxy Z Fold6.
