Two Geekbench listings from earlier confirmed the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra would launch with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC, putting to rest speculations about Samsung offering then in Snapdragon and Exynos flavours. An earlier report predicted an October release date, and now, an industry insider (DSCC's Ross Young), backs that claim.
Young states the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra will enter mass production in August. He adds Samsung will offer the tablets in two colourways: Grey and Silver. Furthermore, the analyst has found no evidence of a base Galaxy Tab S10, tacitly signifying Samsung has scrapped it.
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra will be largely similar to its predecessor, at least in terms of design, except for its radical SoC switch. One can safely expect the Galaxy S10+ to follow suit. MediaTek's high-end offerings have been historically cheaper than Qualcomm's, allowing Samsung to save a pretty penny on manufacturing costs and hopefully pass them on to end users.
